Thai Digits

๐ (sǔun) = 0, ๑ (nùeng) = 1, ๒ (sǎawng) = 2, ๓ (sǎam) = 3, ๔ (sìi) = 4, ๕ (hâa) = 5, ๖ (hòk) = 6, ๗ (jèt) = 7, ๘ (bpàaet) = 8, ๙ (gâao) = 9

Counting Patterns

  • 11–19: สิบ (sìp) + digit
  • 20, 30, 40…: digit + สิบ (sìp)
  • 21 uses เอ็ด (èt) instead of หนึ่ง for the ones place
  • 100 = ร้อย (rói), 1,000 = พัน (pan), 10,000 = หมื่น (mùen), 100,000 = แสน (sǎen), 1,000,000 = ล้าน (láan)
